Weekend Sewing Projects

My family and I spent the weekend under the weather…or at least Anne and I did. My hubs waited until today to wake up sick (on the upside – he is in the Army and has Columbus Day off).  I thought I would share some of the quilting projects I have been working on recently with you and give you a sneak peak at an upcoming pattern AND a tutorial! Read to the end to see my first pattern!!!

(Don’t think that this was all done in one weekend…I am NEVER that productive!)

Here are two of my swap blocks from September:

Here are the blocks I have made for Sew Bee Blissful – one of the Virtual Quilting Bees that I participate in.

I’ve been working on something special this past week. I have finally started work on my Bottled Rainbows blocks, and in an effort to make them my own – I have decided to do my quilt top Quilt As You Go! As I get more blocks completed I will put up tutorials on how I am doing it and I will hopefully be able to give you a general idea of how to do it!

And for the piece de resistance – my first original pattern – this will be published in next month’s Intrepid Thread newsletter – so if you want this pattern – go sign up for the newsletter over on Julie’s Blog!

What do you think?!? I am really excited about it. I have the purse all made and a ton of notes…now for the fun part of writing up the pattern!

Don’t forget to go enter my giveaway from The Intrepid Thread for a Delighted Rollie Pollie!
