February Finish – Photo Heavy Post

I finished my February goal and I increased my clothing sewing abilities!  I am super excited about the hoodie I made Anne and the best part is…she is super excited about it too!Giraffe Hoodie 1 - https://www.sewbittersweetdesigns.comI took Anne down by the water in downtown Olympia and we did a little photo shoot. She was shockingly cooperative, so naturally, being the super proud mommy that I am…I took as many pictures possible of her.  She opted not to have ears and horns on the hoodie after seeing it in this state.

Giraffe Hoodie 2 - https://www.sewbittersweetdesigns.comShe got really into posing for me!

Pattern Details: Modified Charlie Tee & Hoodie by Fishsticks Designs
(my modifications include removing all knit fabrics and using fleece only, also, I removed the bottom band to allow more freedom of movement.)

Pattern Sewing Level: Advanced Beginner

Would I recommend this pattern: Yes, a couple steps I had to re-read several times, but I got the whole hoodie together in one day!

Materials – Blizzard Fleece from JoAnns

Model – my precious Anne

There you have it! A completed February Finish – make sure you link up your finish here!

This was one of my goals for the Finish-A-Long Q1 with Katy from The Littlest Thistle. You can see my goals here.

Giraffe Hoodie Materials - https://www.sewbittersweetdesigns.comI have finished the hoodie – I will reveal pictures next week. Anne had fun doing a little photo shoot on an abnormally sunny day here in rainy Washington.  She did decide that she didn’t want ears or horns on it, which I’m fine with because it definitely looks giraffy enough to me.

Do Good Stitches Finishes

I love when I finish up a quilt. I love it even more when I know those quilts will be providing warmth and comfort to someone in need. On Saturday I finished up 2 special quilts that are being donated to the Hopeful Threads 2014 Quarter 1 project.

Without further ado, here are the 2 quilts that I helped make for the Trust Circle of Do Good Stitches. For my month as quilter I requested I-Spy blocks with Kona Ash as a solid. I got back some amazing blocks!

Here is the boy quilt:
