I’m a bit behind in posting these blocks, but then I was a bit behind in making them because we went on vacation for the last week of July and first two weeks of August.
The first two blocks are log cabin blocks in bright cheerful colors. These were requested by Jessica (@plumpatchwork on Instagram). I think this is going to be a gorgeous and happy quilt when it is all put together.
This happy little paper pieced block was a challenge for me (I’m not used to so many TINY pieces). It was a free pattern on Craftsy offered by Kristy from Quiet Play. She is such a talented designer! You should really check out her blog! This block is for a secret project, hopefully I can share more about it later.
Have you been doing any charity sewing lately? I have a few more blocks to make for my guild and the August blocks for Do Good Stitches. Sewing for others really does make me happy.
Have a happy hump day!
I have been! My ALYOF is for American Hero Quilts. I love the blocks – that dot circle fabric makes them feel like they are moving. The bird is wonderful. I don’t think I would have finished that challenge, so kudos to you for persevering. I look forward to seeing what else goes with it.
Love the colors!!!
