I LOVE LOVE LOVE rainbow quilts. I think they are bright and cheerful and it is hard not to smile when you see them. I made one last week for a wonderful friend, who happens to share a birthday with me. In fact, I sewed the top on our birthday!
The half square triangles were all made from charms. I mixed low volume prints with saturated color prints. I am very happy with the overall effect. Each square measures 2.5″ finished. I am told that the recipient just loves it, which makes me happy!
I took a picture of it with my mini collection before I sent it off.
It was hard to send it off but given who I was sending it to, I am glad it will be loved!
This was also one of the four goals I spoke of on the July ALYOF link up party! I am actually half way done now because I can’t blog about the second finish until later this year!!! It is a commission quilt and I’m super happy with how it turned out.
Sorry I’ve been so silent. Now that my husband is back home, I am going to make a more concerted effort to be on the blog more.
Have a wonderful and happy Monday!
I just love everything you have on your walls oh to be so talented.
Your HST’s are so bright. I just participated in a charm swap, and the theme was low volume. Now I know what I can do with them. I just discovered that I share a birthday with a new quilting friend.
Rainbows are the best 🙂
It’s beautiful! So bright and cheery! She’ll just love it. So, you’ve just celebrated a birthday?
It looks so good on your wall, you will have to make another one for yourself! Lucky Jessica. Happy birthday a little late!
I agree, rainbow quilts are happy quilts. I bet it’s nice to have hubby home though!
You should make another for your wall – it adds so much to your collection!
Your collection is looking good and so does your latest mini!
