This weekend and yesterday I took some time for sewing therapy. It is cheaper than the traditional kind of therapy and I can do it in the comfort of my jammies! I worked on blocks 2 and 3 from the Curve It Up Challenge. I have to say I am really enjoying the mental break from designing, though quite soon here I will likely need to take a break from this and start the dreaded Elsa Dress.
I was originally going to do all American Made Brand solids, but I didn’t have enough and I wanted more variety in my blues, greens, grays, so I have gone ahead and added some Konas and Northcotts to the mix.
I am very happy with how it is turning out so far and really looking forward to block 4. Stay tuned for more curvy blocks!
Oh, yes, I like all of them! I hope you can get a few more before you have to work on the dress, but it’s going to be a gorgeous dress, I have no doubt! You can do it. You are mighty and magic. Just ask Anne. I heard a rumor she thinks you can do anything. =)
They are very, very nice. I love them. You’ll whip that dress right up! Wait and see!
Really nice…..
Gorgeous blocks! Totally agree with you…de-stressing with sewing is how I roll!
I too have been in sewing therapy but I must move on the to Rush Hour Project and back to pattern designing. It was a much needed break though. I’m loving the curved blocks. I joined a ruler of the month club and am in month 9 and haven’t made a single block from my rulers. They are all curved ruler sets too.
Love the curvy blocks!
They look awesome! I am especially loving the Churn Dash block, might have to put that ruler on my list for Santa…
Looks like good therapy to me 🙂
I love the look of curves and these blocks are incredible.
