I designed a new block on Saturday for my bee mates in the 4×5 Modern Bee on Flickr.
My goal is simple, make 6 more of these and also photograph my process to do a tutorial! I love the way this block looks and bonus, my bee mates do too!
My weekend sewing was cut short because Anne ended up back in the hospital with hives everywhere. My husband is gone doing army things right now, so that was interesting, doing everything alone. Luckily I have another army wife friend who came and kept us company with her daughter. Having friends and family here really does help!
I hope everyone has a great Monday, make it a great day!
so sorry to hear abt the hives 🙁 But I love the block!
Hives are no fun – hope they figured out why she got them! Thank you, your husband and your family for your service – as the mother of a daughter in the Army, I know that it is a family affair!!! The Army “family” is so very important and I’m so glad you had a friend there to support you!
Oh, yuck, hives! Hopefully, no bees with them. 😉 I’m so sorry Anne had a miserable weekend, but glad you had a friend to keep you company. I love the block! I always like flying geese anyway, but this is a super block. Looking forward to that tutorial.
I love this block! And the colors!
Well that stinks! At least you had friends to keep you company :). Hope Anne is on the mend.
On pins and needles for that block tute ;)!
that is a wonderful block! I tried to pin it but was told that Pinterest couldn’t as they’ve had reports of suspicious activity from this site – have you been running guns?!?
I hope Anne is recovering quickly. My thoughts will be with you all. This is such an original block. I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it. I love it and can’t wait for the tutorial.
