The last week we have had rain so sadly I couldn’t get a picture of the quilt laying out in all its glory, but it is all finished!
I decided to use my backing for the binding technique, I love the pop of gold all the way around on the border.
Hopefully after my hubby returns in a couple weeks from doing Army things I will be able to get a full length photo and capture the quilt in all its glory!
Today is the last day to enter the September Finishes Party and start thinking about your goal for October as that party will open tomorrow!
Gorgeous! You did an awesome job!
This turned out great! My September finish got put on the back burner. I’ve been working non-stop on a wedding quilt, which will be my October goal. It’s close to done!
wow,spectacular.Great job!!
whoo! hoo! it is beautiful! congrats on your finish!
Yay finishes!
Great job your Christmas quilt, Melissa! And thanks for sharing the back link to your binding tutorial, too. PS. There are only 85 days til Christmas! You’re ahead of the game!
I just adore this quilt! The gold from the backing/binding really completes it! 🙂
And what a finish! That gold binding is the icing on the quilt 😉
Your quilt looks lovely. I like the back binding, too. That’s the first one I learned to do way back in the early 70s. Yeah, older than dirt. =)
