A Lovely Year of Finishes – January Mid-Month Check In

Can you believe that January is already half over?!? What the what? How did that happen!!!  This month is just flying by completely! I have big news to report – not only did I finish my goal for the month, I also finished all my bee blocks for this month!  The next 16 days of sewing belong to me. I really want to make 3 journal covers and I am still making hexies. Don’t they just look awesome?!? I will be showing off the rest of my finishes later this week.

How are your projects coming along for the month? Link up below and show us!!! (Remember you can link up here or over with Shanna at Fiber of All Sorts, no need to enter twice. If you need help linking up there are links to tutorials on the Lovely Year of Finishes page.)

Well done, I finished mine too – I am so pleased with myself and yes it means there are more sewing days ahead!

  2. Yes! Got the quilt top pieced. Finished a tote bag from Loft Creations pattern, “All About Anna.” Made a pair of black trousers from a Vogue pattern for my adult daughter. Now concentrating on some new items for my etsy shop. I like the fresh new year with no holiday pressures this month. Happy Sewing!

You have a lot of hexies there – a great project to work on in the evenings. I pushed forward my finish – A Quilt For Dad – and will now get a friend’s quilt quilted for her this week. Then my daughter is coming home for a two-week visit, so not sure how much sewing I’ll get accomplished then!
