And The Answer Is…

Hand Quilting!

This is a relatively small project – a 22″ x 22″ wall hanging. It is a mother’s day gift for my mom and I wanted to make it extra special for her by putting in that little bit of extra effort.  I will let you all know how it goes. I am thinking of putting butterflies in the 4 cream colored squares and after that I have no other ideas. Do you have any suggestions for me? I would love to hear them!

Don’t forget to day is the last day to enter to win a trial of Ole Frog Eyes! You have until 9 pm tonight!

I hope you all have a great weekend. I seem to have come down with an icky little end of winter cold, so I will be resting as much as Anne will let me!

I knew it! I knew it! LOL! I like the idea of butterflies. Maybe you could do some flowers to go along with them. 🙂

I love the blue & purple together – it looks wonderful! I don’t have any hand quilting suggestions, but I know that you’re super talented and anything you make will look great. You are going to have a very happy mom this Mother’s Day!

I would never have thought to put these colours together; of course I am not an artist.
By the 4 cream squares I think you mean the outside corners, yes? I noticed that each of these squares connect diagonally to larger cream squares. Maybe you could put flowers (as per Lisa L) in the outside squares and butterflies (coming out of the flowers) in the larger inner squares.
Can’t wait to see your final composition!

Since it is a Mother’s Day gift I’d like to see some hearts stitched into this adorable little piece. Moms of all ages like to know they’re loved.
