A Lovely Year of Finishes – January 2015 Goals Party

A Lovely Year of Finishes

I’m so thrilled to see so many recaps of 2014 and personally to kick 2014 out the door.

The new-ness of 2015 and all it’s possibilities make me smile.

Shanna from Fiber of All Sorts and I are so excited to be here all year long for another year of A Lovely Year of Finishes.

January will be a huge quilting month for me…

I have 4 quilts to make! And a huge deadline to hit.  Below is one of the quilt backs. The backs are all done, all I have left to do is sash the blocks for the front, quilt and bind. Wish me luck!

Preschool quilt back - https://www.sewbittersweetdesigns.comThese quilts are being donated to Anne’s preschool and auctioned off for their scholarship fund.  The fronts are all the hand prints of the kids, and the backs are pixel hearts surrounded by the teacher hands.  I wanted this quilt to convey the love that these kids are surrounded by on a daily basis.

I’m so excited about the new year – and that you didn’t make a PINK logo! LOL I have so many quilts to finish this year, and you are going to help me do it again. Thank you for all the work you put in on this. Best of luck with your own goals. I love the quilt backing. Your ideas about the hand prints were just perfect!

  2. Thanks so much for this! I am excited for another year!

Well, crumb – I missed the link-up, taking long to get back into the groove of things after holidays, thesis and degree-finishing, and minor surgery. But I’m looking forward to participating regularly and using this to help keep finishing momentum up! LOVE the entire concept and the look of the handprints quilts. šŸ˜€

  6. Sherry says:

I missed the link up but I have chosen a project and will blog about it now and at the end of the month. My plans for the year are to focus on finishes, I have so many incomplete projects and this will be a help and inspiration for me. Thanks for the inspiration!
